Campus Modernization
One of the district's largest bond projects is underway at Redmond High School. This multi-year modernization includes replacing aging heating and cooling infrastructure, upgrading fire sprinkler and alarm systems, replacing the roof, remodeling the theater, Career and Technical Education (CTE) classrooms, commons, new wrestling addition, and locker rooms, installing new LED lighting throughout the building, and updating HVAC controls.
Many of these improvements replace systems that have reached the end of their useful life. For example, aging hydronic piping has caused frequent leaks and reduced the efficiency of the school's heating system. Replacing these systems will improve reliability, and reduce maintenance needs.
